Welcome to Bloomin' Good Productions

It’s never too late to dream.

To commemorate Armistice Day, Bloomin’ Good Productions present an evening of drama with a Remembrance Theme.

Heroes by Gerald Sibleyras, translated by Tom Stoppard, is a one act tragic-comedy featuring three veterans from the First World War as they plan their escape from their soldiers home.  Or it maybe four escapees if the dog statue travels with them!

The original production won the Lawrence Olivier Award for Best New Comedy.

The evening will also feature two original short comedy-dramas from MANBand the musical writer, Tim Baker.  Prominent figures from WW1 have a date with destiny in purgatory, as they await decisions on their life and death by “The Powers That Be”.

Touring to a venue near you later this year.

MANBand the musical

MANBand is the musical journey of 4 older men, (Eric, Baz, Kev and Frank), who through improbable circumstances find  themselves forming a MANBand to perform at a pub’s charity night.

Through a series of flashbacks, we also meet their younger selves and witness the setbacks in their quests for musical fame and why they yearn for one more chance in the ‘limelight’.  But the road to success is never an easy one, as rivalry, ego, jealousy block the road to success.

Will they ever make the ‘Big Time’ or will they just throw insults and shoes at each other?

The action takes place in a typical pub.  When ‘regular’ Eric sits in the wrong seat, he sets off a crazy sequence of events which results in the formation of the group. But how on earth can the band get it together in time for the big concert?

Well in any pub ‘All Life is Here’, and there are all kinds of people who can help if only you ask…or stop you, if you don’t!

Created by Writer and Actor Tim Baker, with original music and lyrics by Pete and Jo Hanlon,   MANBand – the musical is a funny and uplifting story featuring songs about dreams, family, friendship, Morecambe and Wise and jolly good beer.

Touring in the near future.
